MMV - The International Conference on Monitoring and Management of Visitors in Recreational and Protected Areas
The MMV conference provides a forum for presentations and other exchanges of ideas and experiences related to the monitoring and management of visitors in recreation and protected areas. The emphasis is on policies, problems, practices and innovative solutions, and will therefore be of equal relevance to managers and researchers.
The conference welcomes researchers, public sector and industry managers, consultants, planners and members of NGO’s dealing with visitor management in recreational and protected areas.
The first MMV conference was held in Vienna, Austria, in 2002, the second in Rovaniemi, Finland, in 2004, the third in Rapperswil, Switzerland, in 2006, the fourth in Montecatini Terme, Italy, in 2008, the fifth in Wageningen in the Netherlands in 2010 and the sixth MMV conference was in Stockholm Sweden. The seventh MMV conference will be in Tallinn Estonia.
