Interpretations of Nature, Art and Politics

The Nordic Geographers Meeting (NGM) is an international geography conference held in every second year in one of the Nordic Countries and now, for the first time, in Estonia. The 6th Meeting will be held in Tallinn and Tartu on 15-19 June 2015 on a theme Geographical Imagination: Interpretations of Nature, Art and Politics. The Call for Papers and Sessions has now closed. The submissions are reviewed by session and panel organisers, a preliminary programme will be published in late January 2015 and the final programme in April 2015. Authors who have submitted abstracts will be notified of the outcome in mid-December 2014. The programme also includes plenary lectures (read more about keynote speakers here) and an extensive social programme.
The main conference proceedings will take place at Tallinn University (see venue information at http://www.tlu.ee/en/university/campus) on 16 and 17 June 2015 and University of Tartu on 19 June 2015 (see venue information at http://www.lote.ut.ee/en). The 2015 Meeting opens on Monday 15 June 2015 with a welcome reception sponsored by Enterprise Estonia at the Seaplane Harbour, Estonian Maritime Museum (see venue information at http://www.lennusadam.eu/en/). Accompanying persons and children are welcome to attend, a short tour of the seaplane hangar is provided to those interested. The conference dinner (optional at extra cost) will be held at the Tartu University History Museum (see venue information at http://www.muuseum.ut.ee/en) in the evening of 18 June 2015.
