Why Tallinn University?

Quality and individual approach
We encourage an individual approach to students, which also involves a major focus on thesis supervision and the feedback process at all study levels.

Brand new campus in the city centre
TU’s campus is located in the heart of the capital and has easy access to the international airport (4km) and harbour (1km). The university’s 21st century facilities include a library with study rooms available 24 hours a day, modern classrooms & laboratories and leisure areas throughout the campus. In addition, Baltic Film and Media School (BFM) of Tallinn University incorporates modern production centre equipped with professional video, audio and post-production technology.

Unique geographical location
Estonia’s position as a border country of the European Union (a small country bordering Russia and with close proximity to the Scandinavian region) enables it to offer in-depth studies and comprehensive interdisciplinary research on the region and neighbouring countries.

International studying environment
Our University offers students an international studying environment with around 700 foreign students from 54 countries and a significant number of foreign academics (9.4 per cent of the academic staff are foreigners, which is one of the biggest percentage among Estonian universities). In order to ensure and enhance our international teaching and learning capabilities, we collaborate with various institutes abroad, having bilateral cooperation agreements with 51 partner universities in 29 countries worldwide
