Academic Counselling

The aim of academic counselling is to support students in the organisation and planning of their studies.

Students may attend a private meeting, send an e-mail or call the student counsellor in order to discuss their academic circumstances and find solutions.

The student counsellor advises on:

  • the academic calendar,
  • planning and arranging studies,
  • scheduling and registering for studies,
  • the curriculum and its estimated distribution in semesters,
  • assessment of learning outcomes, exams and pass/fail evaluations,
  • studying as a visiting student, studying abroad,
  • academic leave,
  • student status, exmatriculation and re-matriculation,
  • recognition of previous studies and work experience,
  • possibilities for obtaining financial aid (e.g. student grants) and medical insurance,
  • other questions related to the Tallinn University Study Regulations.

For more complex questions, it is advisable to reserve a counselling time.
