Tallinn University has currently no open competition for the academic posts.

Selection procedure and time-schedule

 

The academic staff will be recruited through international competition, in accordance with the Employment Relations Rules of the Tallinn University (§ 9-20). The selection procedure will be carried out by the election committee of the schools, appointed by the director of the same institute.

Selection will follow an open, transparent and merit-based recruitment process that involves the following phases:

  • Announcement of the competition by the rector;
  • Submitting the required application documents;
  • Assessment of compliance with the job requirements of the candidates by the election committee. Expert assessments, meetings with the candidates, etc.

Election of the professors will be held in the Senate. The election of other academic staff members will be held in the council of the schools.   

The Personnel Office shall contact every candidate concerning the results of the election as soon as possible, but not later than 2 weeks after the decision.

The election committee of the unit, where the elected position is situated, shall contact the candidates to make the agreements of the time, place and topic of the public lecture and meetings, if necessary.
