dear StudentS,
I would like to congratulate you for choosing Tallinn University for your study period in Estonia. Tallinn University, which is the third largest university in Estonia, was established in 2005 as a result of the merger of several universities and research institutes. Despite it being the youngest public Estonian university, our history dates back to the 16th century when the predecessor of the Academic Library of Tallinn University was created. In the years since it was founded, our university has seen dynamic growth with a steady increase in the number of students, both Estonian and international. We would like you to become a part of our growth and development. For that, we offer you a truly academic and friendly atmosphere for your studies.
In addition to spending your time in classrooms, laboratories and the library, you will also find rich cultural experiences in Tallinn. Our famous medieval Old Town, built between the 13th and 16th centuries, is within walking distance from the campus. A short walk also takes you to the Kumu Art Museum, which is the largest art museum in the Baltic States and one of the largest in Northern Europe.
Leaving home to study in a different country is an exciting experience; for our part, we will do everything we can to make your stay in Estonia enjoyable!
Welcome to Tallinn University!
Prof. Tiit Land Rector
