Estonian Education
According to PISA 2018 results, Estonian students rank first among European coun- tries in all three domains of assessment (science, reading, mathematics). Since Estonia regained its independence in 1991, the innovative e-state has managed to transform its educational system to the global best!

• Equity – socio-economic background does not matter!
• Teachers - well-educated and committed!
• Digitally innovative society - e-curiosity already from the kindergarten! • Historical background - families valued education highly!

Tallinn University is a modern and dynamic research university that has over a 100 years of experience in teacher training and today, both QS World University Rank- ings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings place Tallinn University among the top 1000 best universities in the world. One of Tallinn University’s best fields of study, education, has been ranked #251–300 in QS WUR Rankings by Subject #301–400 in THE WUR subject rankings.
The School of Educational Sciences is a unit at Tallinn University which is responsible for the academic sustainability in the field of education both in Tallinn University and Estonia in general. The School of Educational Sciences prioritizes personalised learning and focuses its research on four main
study areas:
• Teacher Education and Educational Science;
• Non-formal Education and Lifelong Learning;
• Inclusive Education;
