Studies of Transition States and Societies

This is great news for the readers and the  authors of STSS!

STSS editorial awaits your submittions all year round. You are also welcome to submit abstracts in order to get initial feedback on whether the topic is in the scope of the journal.

Studies of Transition States and Societies would be happy to receive articles and research notes from a wide range of disciplines that focus on transitional countries.  We particularly encourage submissions concerned with social and political transformation of Eastern Europe and the former USSR, although good articles that focus on other regions will also be considered.

We particularly encourage empirically-rich accounts, constructed on recent and/or ongoing research, that can contribute to current theoretical debates in the social sciences.

The deadline for the 2012 Fall issue is 10 July 2012. However, potential contributors are welcome to contact us at an early stage to discuss an idea you might want to develop or have developed. Papers to be considered for the Spring issue must be sent to stss@tlu.ee before the 19th of December 2011. Articles arriving later are candidates for the Fall issue 2012.
