Why is studying in a global crisis? What does this crisis mean? Could the answer lie in stricter assessments, research-based leadership, or political reforms?
The World Bank Development Report 2018, LEARNING to Realize Education’s Promise focuses on the search for these answers. It is the first ever World Bank Report devoted entirely to education. The Report relies on the understanding that the key to the future and welfare of the world is in renewed education, although the key is currently rusty.
The report will be presented at Tallinn University on 3 November. Co-directors of the report Deon Filmer and Halsey Rogers, representative of the Ministry of Finance Märt Kivine, Professor Mati Heidmets of Tallinn University, head of the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education Heli Mattisen, and economic expert Ott Pärna will present the report.
The presentation (in English) will take place on 3 November at 14:00 at M-134 (Uus-Sadama 5).
Registration is open until 1st of November here!
