Winters in Estonia can be a challenging time for those who come from sunnier climates. During winter months, if it is not cloudy then there is sunlight only for about 6 hours a day, from around 10am to 4pm. Make sure you keep yourself warm, a winter jacket and boots will help!

To keep up your mood during winter months, keep yourself both socially and physically active during those months to stay motivated in your studies. The university has plenty of clubs and activities students can join that can help with this. Joining local gyms could be a good idea.

Taking Iron and Vitamin-D may also help keep up your energy levels.

Tallinn University provides free psychological counselling to students as well.
