The supervisor of the string quartet senior lecturer of cello and chamber music Erkki Lahesmaa introduces working principles of an ensemble as well as the 18–20th century chamber music of the concert. The workshop is part of the BFM IKUMUMU course “Music History II”.

The performance and residency at Tallinn University BFM are funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Nordplus for Higher Education’s Explorations and Collaborations in the Arts / The ECA Network. The Nordplus ECA Network is coordinated by the Arts Academy, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Turku, Finland.

The organizers of the concert and the workshop are BFM lecturer of musiciology Gerhard Lock, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Arts Academy senior lecturer of cello and chamber music Erkki Lahesmaa and Nord+ ECA Network head / Turku University of Applied Sciences, Arts Academy senior lecturer of music David Yoken.
