Dear university members

The university is dynamic, bold, open!

"In five years, we have speedily moved towards meeting the objectives set in the university’s development plan. We have made it to the top 5% of the best universities in the world which gives us more will and courage.
Tallinn University’s steady and courageous target is to be the promoter of intelligent lifestyle.
We make decisions that are based on science, thus also transparent, we keep up with technological progress, value sustainable behaviour, while remaining enough self-criticism.
We dare to expect the same from the state leaders as well as from other members of the society.
We have large international, but also smaller innovative and interdisciplinary research projects, educational innovation as well as teacher training in general continue on the rise.
We have raised interdisciplinarity to a new level, a successful example of which is the ELU course where students, lecturers and also the university’s partners search together for evidence-based solutions to both big and small problems that the society is facing.
We claim proudly that we are an international university. In an open and fast-changing world, only those who value diversity and know and use also other languages and cultures can be truly successful."
Prof. Tiit Land, Rector
