why ESTONIA?
– Estonia is one of the most dynamic countries in the European Union. It is well-known both for its innovative drive and cosy living environment as well as the notable sense of humor of its inhabitants.
– Estonia is in the Schengen Area, so we have open borders with the rest of Europe.
– Estonia is an e-society, with electronic ID- cards, e-government, e-health, e-school, e-parking etc. Wireless internet access can be found everywhere. The Skype software was developed by Estonian engineers.
– Estonia boasts a long tradition of providing quality education. A total of 90% of international students are satisfied with their overall living and studying standard in Estonia (global average 88%, according to The International Student Barometer (ISB), 2011).
– Estonia is the country with the cleanest air in the world (according to WHO ranking).
– Estonia has over 1,500 islands, 1000 lakes and 7 000 rivers. Around 55% of Estonian territory is covered with forest.
– The capital of Estonia, Tallinn is conveniently located, with easy connections to St. Petersburg, Riga, Helsinki and to major cities in Scandinavia.
– Tallinn’s Old Town was entered on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 1997.
– Tallinn is home to NATO’s main research centre for cyber defence.
