Integration of digital libraries in e-learning
Technical Issues
The technical issues of digital libraries have got much attention in the literature.
Some major technical issues are:
- Searching interfaces,
- OpenURL,
- copyright management,
- authentication, security and
- personalization
Interoperability is a major concern in the integration of digital libraries and VLEs.
It is believed that implementing metadata standards, OpenURL and other software solutions can help to achieve interoperability between digital libraries and VLEs.
