BFM Research Fund
The aim of the BFM Research fund is to support research, development and artistic work in the school in the fields of film, media, arts and communication, mobility of academic staff and research and artistic work of doctoral students.
Fund means are distributed to the following research and development activities:
Mobility:
- participation in conferences abroad (presentations are preferred);
- participation in other research and networking events with the aim of developing cooperation with foreign partners (including professional festivals, preferably as a speaker);
- research work in a library, museum, archive or fieldwork (in exceptional cases).
Research, artistic research and/or related activities:
- conducting research or artistic research, the necessary tools, services, missions, etc.;
- membership in professional organizations;
- publishing and presenting research results, preparing scientific publications (editing and proofreading) and publishing them in open access, provided that the author has indicated BFM as his/her affiliated institution;
- purchasing specific equipment and software necessary for research, and programming services;
- proposal writing services for applications with a financial volume of at least 300,000 EUR for the institute and being the lead partner.
Strengthening research groups through the involvement of foreign researchers:
- Involvement of foreign researchers and experts (travel and accommodation costs only) in the activities of BFM research groups.
The applicants can be BFM academic staff and those visiting academics, who hold BFM employment contract, as well as doctoral students who are currently not on academic leave and have no missing reports for the fund.
Applications can be submitted at least three times a year.
The deadlines for submitting applications are, as a rule, February 1, May 2, and October 1 (or the first working day thereafter if the deadline falls on a weekend or a public holiday).
