BFM becomes Blackmagic Design Education Partner for DaVinci Resolve

Tallinn University’s Baltic Film, Media and Arts School (BFM) is now a Blackmagic Design Education Partner for DaVinci Resolve. The partnership expands access to industry-aligned post-production training and creates a clear pathway from practical learning to professional certification.

Training for the complete post-production workflow

DaVinci Resolve brings editing, colour correction, visual effects and motion graphics in Fusion, audio post-production in Fairlight, and final delivery into one application.

As a Certified Training Partner, BFM can provide training based on Blackmagic Design’s official curriculum and professional workflows. Participants develop practical skills across the entire post-production process—from organising material and editing to picture finishing, sound and delivery. Depending on the course, the training can also prepare participants for Blackmagic Design certification exams.

What the partnership means for learners

The partnership strengthens BFM’s learning-by-doing approach by connecting teaching with tools and workflows used throughout the film, television and wider creative industries.

BFM students can deepen their post-production skills as part of their studies, while BFM Training can offer continuing education to working professionals, companies, educational organisations and other learners. Training can cover editing, colour grading, sound post-production, Fusion visual effects and complete end-to-end workflows.

BFM’s Post-production Centre provides a professional learning environment with eight editing rooms equipped with Apple Mac Studio workstations. The school also has two dedicated colour-grading rooms with DaVinci Resolve systems, grading panels and calibrated projection.
