The Russian Language Summer School is an annual event sponsored by the International Office and the Catherine`s College of Tallinn University. The programme of the School consists of three parts - language & cultural programmes in Estonia and a study tour to St Petersburg in Russia.

It is a well-established fact that the best way of learning a foreign language is to visit a country where it is spoken. Estonia is on the threshold of Russia’s door and we use geographic location and our historical connections to provide our students with the best opportunity to learn Russian in the region.

It allows us to use the advantages of language schools in Russia - all the teachers are native speakers of Russian, holding their degrees of Moscow and St Petersburg Universities, we use the most up-to-date teaching materials published in Russia, there is an opportunity of communication in Russian (almost 50% of Tallinners are native Russians) - and add to it the  European safety, service and treatment.

But we do not hide Russia from you! Our School offers you a unique opportunity of combining learning Russian in Tallinn with visiting one of the most beautiful Russian cities, it's second capital - St Petersburg - as a study tour at the end of the course. During that trip you will have an opportunity to see the country of the language you are learning, see one of the most beautiful Russian cities with your own eyes, to learn Russian traditions and of course to improve your Russian. The tour operator arranges a special tourist programme for our students in the greatest Russian city.
