Wishing to achieve a better harmony with the needs of the society, we have set our aim at becoming the advocate of an intelligent lifestyle in Estonia. Above all, an intelligent lifestyle means research-based decisions to improve the coping abilities of the society and its citizens.
We contribute to applying the University’s know-how and experience in developing new products and services in cooperation with enterprises, the public sector and the third sector.

Tallinn Summer School, organised since 2006, is a 3-week programme running in July, combining a wide range of courses with a rich, diverse cultural programme and attracting participants from all over the world. In addition to a variety of social events, participants visit museums, historical sights, places of cultural importance, and see some of the nature of Estonia on weekend trips to different locations within the country.

Inspirations on Estonian Educational Innovations
To discuss the strengths and challenges of Estonian education and our school system, Tallinn University’s School of Educational Sciences has prepared several packages with inspiring short lectures for our international visitors. The speakers are experts in their field, who open up different aspects of Estonian education and its innovation and offer an opportunity for a lively discussion. Themes can be adapted or combined according to the guests’ wishes.
Study Visit Programme: Inclusive Education in Estonia
Explore inclusive education in one of Europe’s most innovative school systems.
This 3-4-day study visit offers an inspiring and practice-oriented insight into how Estonia implements inclusive education across all levels of its education system. The programme combines expert input, on-site visits, interactive workshops, and professional dialogue to provide a comprehensive and real-world learning experience.
Participants gain a systemic overview of Estonia’s inclusive education framework, including learner well-being, teacher support structures, digital innovation, and multidisciplinary cooperation networks.

Study Visit Programme: Active Learning Methodologies in Mathematics Using ICT
Explore inclusive education in one of Europe’s most innovative school systems.
This five-day study visit provides participants with an overview of innovative approaches to mathematics education in Estonia. The programme combines school visits, classroom observations, expert presentations and professional discussions, offering practical insights into active learning methodologies, digital technologies and robotics in primary education.
Participants gain first-hand experience of the Estonian education system while exchanging ideas and best practices with teachers, school leaders and educational experts.
Target Group
Primary school mathematics teachers, school leaders, educational specialists and teacher educators interested in innovative teaching methods, digital learning and mathematics education.
