School monitoring survey
Since 2016, Tallinn University has been conducting nationwide school surveys to map the organisational culture of general education schools and kindergartens in Estonia, as well as to explore the views of teachers and students on key aspects of school life and future development priorities.
Participation in the surveys is voluntary. Each participating school and kindergarten receives an individual feedback report, enabling them to compare their results with other institutions and use the insights to inform their own development plans.
To date, over 150 schools and 70 kindergartens have taken part. The data collected through the surveys are also used in academic research by university faculty and students. More than 30 master's theses have been completed based on the survey data, and several research articles have been published in both academic and public outlets.
In our research and the conduct of studies, we adhere to good academic practice and established standards.
Tallinn University Ethics Committee evaluates the data protection and ethical aspects of research and development and creative projects conducted at the university, imposing the following conditions with which the applications must comply: Procedure of Tallinn University Ethics Committee for the processing of applications of evaluating research
