Development program for leadership teams
Development program “Building effective collaboration and evidence-based development in educational leadership teams” is designed for educational institutions whose leadership teams have undergone significant changes — such as the appointment of a new leader or the replacement of several leadership team members.
The aim of the program is to support collaboration within leadership teams and to provide evidence-based knowledge and practical tools for planning and implementing development initiatives.
Core Topics:
- Teamwork and group processes – how to build a well-functioning leadership team?
- Leadership approaches and change management – how to plan and implement development initiatives?
- Using data and evidence – how to make informed, data-driven decisions?
Participants will gain insights into collective efficacy theory and learn practical methods for shaping a school culture that supports learning and development.
Who is this program for?
The program is open to leadership teams of educational institutions that:
- have recently undergone leadership changes (a new leader or several new team members);
- wish to improve teamwork and enhance collaboration;
- need guidance and support in planning and implementing development activities.
Program Structure
Duration: A total of 156 academic hours, including 48 contact hours and 108 hours of independent work.
Modules: The program includes five modules — the first and last are two-day sessions, and the three in between are one-day sessions. Lectures will introduce theoretical foundations on group processes, leadership principles, change management, and data collection. Practicing professionals will help interpret and apply the conceptual knowledge.
Mentoring: Each participating educational institution will be assigned a mentor who supports the team between seminars.
Practical Assignments: Between seminars, teams will complete development tasks and an evidence-based self-assessment. At the end of the program, they will present a developed solution or methodology designed to address a specific challenge or implement a meaningful change within the school.
