The EARLI SIG 4 Higher Education Conference

Creativity and Innovation in Higher Education

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming EARLI SIG 4 Higher Education Conference “Creativity and Innovation in Higher Education”. The conference will take place on 14-17 August 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia.

The aim of the conference is to share research results, ideas and interests among the members of the SIG and all those who are interested in research on higher education and in the development of innovative teaching and learning environments. The conference offers interesting and challenging possibilities to combine and share research interests between the senior and junior researchers and between researchers, teachers and developers of teaching and learning in higher education.

The conference theme, Creativity and Innovation in Higher Education, provides opportunities to discuss the most recent research focusing on creativity in learning, creative and innovative teaching and research methods, and enhancement of creativity in research and supervision. The conference aims to combine both the most recent research results as well as practical developments in teaching and learning in all fields of higher education.

We welcome both researchers and teachers who are interested in the research and development in the fields of Higher Education to submit a proposal of a symposium or a paper or a poster and to participate in the conference. We especially encourage junior researchers to participate in the conference. In addition to having the opportunity to present a poster or a paper, there are special activities in the program, such as possibility to present your project in “Meet the Juniors” session and to attend “Lunch with the Professor”. Junior researchers are also provided with the possibility to chair sessions.

We are looking forward to meeting all of you in Tallinn!
