Tallinn University Competition for Outstanding Publications, Textbooks and Creative Projects
The aim of the competition is to motivate Tallinn University staff to carry out high- quality research and creative work and to encourage them to present their professional achievements and apply the results of their research in the preparation of textbooks.
The competition is organised annually and aims to motivate Tallinn University staff to engage in high-quality research and creative work and to encourage them to showcase their professional achievements.
The competition is open to publications, textbooks and projects published in 2025.
The competition will identify:
- the best monograph;
- the best article in the humanities;
- the best article in the natural sciences;
- the best article in the social sciences;
- the best article in the exact sciences;
- the best general education or higher education textbook;
- the best creative project (a stage production, concert, discipline-specific exhibition, or similar).
The prize fund is EUR 750 per category.
To enter the competition, the author(s) must submit the following materials to the Research Administration Office:
- the work submitted for evaluation (in the case of a monograph, article or textbook);
- a free-form application, indicating the category in which the submitted work is entered, and, in the case of a monograph or textbook, an explanation (up to one page) of the research on which the submitted work is based. The publication, textbook or creative project must clearly indicate the author’s/authors’ affiliation with the University;
- a description of the publication, textbook or creative project to be evaluated
It is recommended to include reviews and articles relating to the works submitted to the competition (especially those published in the public press) with the materials.
The deadline for the submission of works is 16 February 2026. Documents must be submitted to the Research Administration Office (teaduskorraldus@tlu.ee).
