President of the Republic of Estonia Recognises Tallinn University Scientists

The President, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, has signed a resolution which will
award state decorations to 99 people, both in Estonia and abroad. The
decorations will celebrate Independence Day and recognise the recipients’
special service to the Republic of Estonia. "On the eve of the 93rd
anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, our State will award honorary
decorations in order to recognise and thank those people whose efforts have
contributed to the promotion, maintenance and securing of Estonia’s
independence," wrote the Head of State in the introduction to his
resolution. Estonia will acknowledge and thank those researchers whose
achievements have contributed to the development of the State in numerous
fields. The Order of White Star will be awarded, among others, to Irina
Belobrovtseva, Professor at Tallinn University, and Viive-Riina Ruus,
Professor emeritus at Tallinn University.For more information regarding all
