We are happy to welcome international researchers, higher education staff and PhD students to Tallinn University. The university aims at providing support to all international employees and researchers at every step of the way throughout the stay at Tallinn University.
Erasmus+ staff mobility
Higher education institutions interested in co-operation with Tallinn University (TLU) are welcome to contact directly the respective academic unit at TLU, please see the list of Departmental Erasmus Coordinators. The academic units are responsible for handling and signing their inter-institutional agreements.
Additionally to the over 400 Erasmus+ mobility partners, Tallinn University has signed bilateral agreements with 39 partner universities. The objectives of the cooperation with partners are supporting international cooperation and extending the international contact network, enabling mobilities of staff members and students, and carrying out joint projects and research.

Electricity: The electricity supply in Estonia is 220 volts AC, 50 Hz. European-style 2-pin plugs are in use.
LANGUAGE
The language spoken in Estonia is Estonian. In Tallinn, also Russian is common.
Most of the places give customer service in English.
CURRENCY
Estonia uses euro €.
Contactless card payment is wide spread payment method, cash is rarely used.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Enter by the front door and pay contactless at the validator: Contactless bank card can be used in all public transport where the validator includes the logo of contactless payment. The card owner must ensure that the validator has the logo of their bank card. As a rule, such a validator is by the front door of the vehicle. A contactless bank card will not work in other validators – not for buying a ticket or for validating an existing one.
