Koor

Vox Nova, a vocal ensemble consisting of students and alumni of Tallinn University, was established in autumn 2015 under the supervision of Karin Salumäe. The 12-member mixed ensemble's programme includes music from the Renaissance period and folklore to pop-jazz arrangements, from works by famous composers to arrangements created specifically for Vox Nova.

We are open to working with various instruments and giving the ensemble's soloists and smaller groups from within the ensemble an opportunity to perform.

A distinct chapter for Vox Nova are its collaborative projects with the Tallinn University dance ensemble "Soveldaja", with whom we have performed from the Vaba Lava to the Tallinn Old Town Days main stage at the Town Hall Square.
The ensemble enjoys its role providing musical entertainment at the events of various Tallinn University subdivisions and its participation in larger Christmas and springtime joint projects with other cultural groups at the university.

Vox Nova has performed at the events of various institutions and on the stages of culture centres all over Estonia, and has successfully participated in the vocal ensembles competition "Tuljak".

We share a passion for singing and music - and we want to pass on this joy to our listeners.
