Exhibition "THE TREES WERE… THE TREES WERE...."

The exhibition "THE TREES WERE… THE TREES WERE..." by BFM's Associate Professor of Design, Krista Aren is open in the lobby of the Nova building.

Exhibition
"THE TREES WERE… THE TREES WERE...."

The exhibition is an investigation, which differs from the academic format. It is an artist’s analysis of the different forms, fragments and memories
of a particular natural material. The compositions are sensory, abstract and give the viewer the opportunity to construct the narrative themselves.
The materials exhibited have been named after the themes from left to right:
WHITE NIGHTS
DRIFTWOOD
COAL
REFLECTION
ON THE WAY
ROOTS

Trees have become things… The question now lies in what thoughts and feelings the in-between state of the material where it is no longer alive but not yet an object made for use...
