XX Annual Estonian Philosophy Conference 2025
The XX Annual Estonian Philosophy Conference will take place on 21-22 August 2025 at Tallinn University.
The invited keynote speakers are Eva Piirimäe, Professor of Political Theory at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies of Tartu University, with a talk entitled “The Unjust Enemy in Immanuel Kant’s Philosophy of Peace: Reflections on the Historicity and Contemporary Relevance of Political Philosophy”, and Björn Þorsteinsson, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, History and Archaeology of University of Iceland, with a talk entitled “Freedom, Meaning and Sense: Sartre and Merleau-Ponty on the Conditions of Human Being-in-the-World.”


The conference fee is 90 euros and covers coffees, lunches and one dinner. Participants are expected to cover their own accommodation and travel costs.
Listening to the conference presentations is free of charge for everyone and no registration is necessary. If you wish to participate at the conference without a presentation and take part in the coffee breaks, lunches and the conference dinner, please register and pay the fee of 90 euros.
