On June 19, 2026 at 10.00 Ermo Säks from the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School will defend the doctoral thesis "Beyond the Silver Screen: Cinematic Virtual Reality as a Transitional Medium in Relation to the Metaverse Imaginaries".

Public defence will take place in Tallinn University hall M648.
