The inauguration of Professor Priit Reiska as Rector of Tallinn University will take place on Thursday, 14 May 2026 at 12:00 in the University Assembly Hall. The ceremony can be followed via livestream on the University website and on Facebook. The livestream link will be added.

The inauguration ceremony will be followed by a reception in the atrium of the Mare building.
Practical Information
- The inauguration ceremony begins at 12:00. The Assembly Hall will open to guests at 11:30. Please arrive in good time.
- Sign-language interpretation and simultaneous interpretation into English will be provided during the ceremony.
- During the inauguration ceremony, we will observe an old academic tradition according to which approval is expressed by shuffling one’s feet rather than by applause.
- Congratulations may be offered at the reception following the inauguration.
- The reception will begin at approximately 13:30.
- Dress code: dark suit, formal dress or formal suit, decorations.
- Cloakrooms for outerwear are located on the ground floors of the Terra, Mare and Astra buildings.
- The inauguration ceremony will be livestreamed, and both the ceremony and the reception will be photographed.
The inauguration ceremony will take place in the Tallinn University Assembly Hall (Terra building, Narva mnt 25), and the reception will be held in the atrium of the Mare building (Uus-Sadama 5, 3rd floor).
Guests can move between the buildings via the connecting galleries or through the courtyard.
Arrival
For guests arriving by car, the nearest car park is the paid EuroPark car park in front of the Mare building (Uus-Sadama 5), at Tuukri 56 (EP30).
The nearest public transport stops are Tallinna Ülikool and L. Koidula on Narva Road, and Uus-Sadama on Reidi Road.
There are five bicycle parking areas on the University campus; their locations are marked on the map above.
