Understand Estonia through Language, Culture, and History

The MA in Estonian Studies offers an integrated approach to Estonia’s language, culture, history, and contemporary society. The programme is designed for students seeking a deeper and more structured understanding of Estonia. Estonian language learning is central to the curriculum, and studies culminate in a Master’s thesis.

Understand Eastern Europe from a Baltic Vantage Point

New major under Estonian Studies, East European Studies, explores Eastern Europe’s cultural, linguistic, and historical dynamics from Estonia’s regional context. Students analyse imperial legacies, socialism, and post-socialist transformation, with opportunities to focus on literature, linguistics, history, or regional politics.
