Leading Change Together: A New Role for Social Impact
Across Europe, emerging initiatives are strengthening the connection between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community development. The Social Impact Manager Project contributes to this development by promoting an innovative approach that places social impact at the centre of companies’ relationships with communities and stakeholders.

iCal calendarOn 24 March 2026, an online event titled “Leading Change Together: A New Role for Social Impact” will introduce a new professional profile — the Social Impact Manager. This innovative role is designed to help organisations create sustainable and long-term social impact at regional level by fostering collaboration between companies, communities and other stakeholders.
The SIM project has been developed by 14 organisations from seven European countries, including leading higher education institutions. During the event, participants will learn about the educational programme created to train Social Impact Managers, hear experiences from programme participants, and engage in discussions on how companies, communities and learners can collaborate to generate meaningful social impact.
Participants will:
- discover the Social Impact Manager educational programme;
- hear insights and experiences from programme participants;
- take part in a discussion on collaboration between companies, communities and learners.
The event is open to university students, professionals, SME owners, entrepreneurs, managers, higher education institutions interested in adopting the curriculum, as well as representatives of local communities and civil society organisations.
