iCal calendarIncreasingly, researchers are expected to communicate with the public and other stakeholders to make their academic work visible and impactful. Especially in areas related to sustainability, communication by experts is hoped to contribute to individual behaviour change and development of relevant policies. This workshop supports researchers in understanding when, where and how to engage with the public and other stakeholders to achieve the greatest impact and will provide practical tips for communicating their science.
By Arko Olesk, PhD, he is a senior researcher of science communication at Tallinn University and a science communication trainer and practitioner. He has studied media interactions of researchers and developed a quality framework for science communication. Currently, he is part of the EU-funded COALESCE project that is building the European Science Communication Competence Centre.
