AI-TransformED Project Explores AI and Data Ethics at the University of Novi Sad
As part of the AI-TransformED project, a meeting took place at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, focusing on key topics related to the future of artificial intelligence in education.
Tallinn University’s School of Educational Sciences was represented by Associate Professor of Vocational Education Meidi Sirk, Lecturer in Vocational Pedagogy Reeli Liivik, and Associate Professor in AI Didactics Janika Leoste. The team presented a questionnaire developed within the project, which sparked strong interest and lively discussion among participants.
The conversation quickly moved beyond initial insights, opening up deeper reflections on the ethical principles of conducting surveys and working with data. In the context of AI in education, participants emphasized the importance of not only considering the results generated, but also acknowledging the responsibility that comes with collecting and interpreting data.
The meeting offered an engaging exchange of ideas and marked a meaningful step forward for the AI-TransformED project.
