Education Export Network Meets at Tallinn University
On 23 September, members of the Estonian Education Export Network gathered at Tallinn University’s EduSpace research lab to exchange experiences, explore opportunities in education export, and discuss future directions for cooperation. The event brought together representatives from educational institutions, ministries, and local governments across Estonia.
The Education Export Network is coordinated by Education Estonia. Tallinn University is represented in the network by Tiia Õun, Eve Eisenschmidt, Marika Kutškova, and Reet Sillavee.
Taking Tallinn University’s expertise across borders
One of the main focuses of the day was sharing experiences and practices in international education cooperation and education export.
Eve Eisenschmidt and Reet Sillavee presented the international development programmes of Tallinn University’s Educational Leadership Academy and shared experiences from international cooperation. Among the examples highlighted were successful Future School projects in Lithuania, Moldova, Armenia, and Ukraine.
Marika Kutškova, Cooperation Manager, introduced EduSpace’s international services and workshops, as well as inspiration lectures and study visit programmes that have proved popular among international delegations. These initiatives provide opportunities to share Tallinn University’s expertise and experience with education professionals and organisations from different countries.
New ideas and opportunities for cooperation
The programme also included discussions on the latest developments and future plans of the Education Export Network, as well as brainstorming sessions focused on advancing education export. Participants also explored opportunities for cooperation with Finland in connection with the EDUCA education event.
The day concluded with a tour of Tallinn University’s campus, giving network members an opportunity to learn more about the university and the activities of the Educational Leadership Academy.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to bring together expertise and ideas from different organisations and to explore how Estonia’s educational knowledge and practices can be shared and applied through international cooperation.
