Tallinn University School of Educational Sciences Hosts the ISTP 2026 International Delegation
On 9 March 2026, the School of Educational Sciences (HTI) at Tallinn University will welcome a delegation of the International Summit on the Teaching Profession (ISTP 2026).
ISTP is a global education summit that brings together Ministers of Education, teacher representative organisations, and international experts to discuss the future of the teaching profession, education policy, and innovation.
A High-Level International Delegation
Tallinn University will host a 17-member delegation including representatives from Austria, Singapore, Lithuania, Ukraine, as well as international organisations such as the OECD and Education International.
The delegation is led by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi. It also includes representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and teacher trade unions.
The guests will learn about the work of the Institutes of Education at Tallinn University and the University of Tartu, and receive an overview of the Estonian education system and teacher education.
Visit Schedule
The visit will take place on 9 March and will last approximately 1.5 hours. The main programme will conclude no later than 10:15 to allow the delegation to depart at 10:30 for their next engagement.
The visit to Tallinn University is part of a broader programme introducing international guests to the strengths, development priorities, and cooperation opportunities of the Estonian education system.
Introduction to the Estonian Education System
The delegation’s first introduction to the Estonian education system will take place during the bus ride from the Radisson Collection Hotel to Tallinn University, where a short overview of the organisation and key principles of Estonian education will be provided. A host will also accompany the delegation on the journey from Tallinn University to Kultuurikatel.
