Bachelor’s degree programmes

The access requirement to Bachelor's studies is secondary education or a corresponding qualification. Applicants may apply with a Diploma of the International Baccalaureate or a Bilingual Diploma of the International Baccalaureate. 

NB! The final document must state “Diploma awarded”. Applicants whose document states “Course awarded” are not eligible to apply for degree studies.

The following documents must be uploaded to the online application system:

  • Diploma of the International Baccalaureate issued by International Baccalaureate

or

  • Candidate results forwarded to Tallinn University (code: 003955) online *

* Please indicate in your application that your results have been sent to us online and you are yet to receive your final diploma.

Qualification and admission requirements:

  • At least six subjects must have been completed: three at standard level (SL) and three at higher level (HL).
  • At least 27 out of 45 points are required to qualify for studies at Tallinn University.
  • The Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) must have been completed with a grade of at least D.
  • The Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) requirement must have been completed.
  • All higher-level subjects (HL) must have been completed with a grade of at least 3. Only one standard-level (SL) subject may have been completed with a grade of 2.
  • At least 12 points must have been obtained in higher-level subjects and at least 9 points in standard-level subjects.

Please note: All the requirements listed above must be met. If any of the requirements have not been met, the applicant is not eligible to apply.

Language requirements

Students who have completed International Baccalaureate studies can submit their graduation documents as proof of English language proficiency.

All other applicants are required to provide proof of their English language proficiency. Acceptable English language tests and other exempt categories can be seen here.
