Tallinn University and Lusófona University Aim to Develop Cooperation within FilmEU

On 11–12 March, Tallinn University hosted a delegation from its Portuguese partner university, Lusófona University. The meetings were also attended by Tallinn University Rector Tõnu Viik and Lusófona University Rector José Bragança de Miranda. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between the two universities, share best practices, establish direct contacts between academic units, and identify new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of educational sciences, natural and health sciences, and social sciences.

As part of the meetings, Tallinn University’s rectorate introduced the guests to the university’s management principles and strategic priorities. In addition, field-specific meetings were held at the institutes, where shared interests in psychology, health sciences, international relations, and educational innovation were discussed. A separate focus was placed on the administration of research activities and the organisation of knowledge and technology transfer, with experts from both universities exchanging experiences in these areas. Expanding the activities of the FilmEU project and deepening the partnership were also important topics on the agenda.

In addition to the working meetings, the guests familiarised themselves with the university campus and laboratories, including a visit to the Science Kitchen of the School of Natural Sciences and Health.

We would like to thank all colleagues who contributed to hosting the guests and to the cooperation discussions!
