Tallinn University hosted Graziella Scerri from MCAST for a week of collaboration and exchange

This past week, from May 26 to May 30, 2025, Tallinn University had the pleasure of hosting Graziella Scerri, an EU Projects Coordinator from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). Her job shadowing experience was packed with meetings and discussions aimed at strengthening international cooperation and exchanging knowledge on project management.

meetings with the heads of research administration from the School of Digital Technologies, the School of Educational Sciences, and the School of Humanities, with the goal of gaining insight into their academic fields and research activities.

A significant part of her visit included participating in the monthly meeting of the Project Coordinators Network. This particular meeting focused on supporting project implementation, and attendees gained an overview of how this is done at MCAST. Graziella also attended the weekly meeting of the Heads of Research Administration, where TLÜ and MCAST shared their experiences.

A notable part of the mobility was a visit to Haapsalu College, where Graziella familiarized herself with the final theses of the Handicraft Technology and Design curriculum and met with the college's leadership to discuss potential future collaboration.

The week-long meetings, covering project-related topics and training, offered valuable comparative perspectives. Graziella's goals were to enhance her knowledge in planning, monitoring, and reporting on EU projects, as well as to foster strong international relationships, especially since TLÜ is not yet a partner of MCAST.

In addition to gaining valuable work experience, Graziella enjoyed exploring Estonian culture and history, visiting several interesting places. This cultural insight will undoubtedly support better future communication. Both institutions hope to benefit from strengthened relationships and a better understanding of each other's practices.
