Professor Priit Reiska takes office today as Rector of Tallinn University
As of today, 15 May, Professor Priit Reiska is the Rector of Tallinn University. The new Rector’s Office consists of Rector Priit Reiska, Vice Rectors Tiina Pajuste, Helen Joost and Uku Lember and Kristi Vinter.
At the formal inauguration ceremony, speeches were delivered by President of the Republic of Estonia Alar Karis, Minister of Education and Research Kristina Kallas, President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences Mart Saarma, Chair of the Council of Rectors and Rector of Tallinn University of Technology Tiit Land, Chair of the Tallinn University Council Taavi Laur, outgoing Rector Tõnu Viik, and Chair of the Student Union Board Karmen Klaasen.
Professor Priit Reiska was elected Rector of Tallinn University at the meeting of the Electoral Council held on 11 February 2026.
