Bachelor’s degree programmes

The access requirement to Bachelor's study is secondary education or a corresponding foreign qualification.

The following education documents must be uploaded to the online application system:

  • West African Senior School Certificate or Senior School Certificate. 

West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) needs to show all examination results, the total score, date of the exam and the code or number of the examinee. The document has to be issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or National Examinations Council (NECO). For university eligibility it is expected a result of pass for at least five subjects for the minimum result of C4 including the mandatory English and Mathematics.

Please do not send your documents by post until you have personally been asked to do so. Once you have been asked to send your documents by post, please make sure that the copies of education documents have been officially certified. An unused Scratchcard for verifying the examination results must be included. Tallinn University also accepts NECO result token cards for verifying NECO examination results from 2018 and onwards. 

Please note: 

  • You are required to submit the officially issued certificate. Print-outs from the online verification system are never accepted.

  • Please note that any discrepancies between name and/or birthdate on your documents must be explained with official documentation that confirms change of name/birthdate or an affidavit.

Master’s degree programmes

Persons having a Bachelor’s degree, a diploma of professional higher education or a corresponding qualification may apply to Master’s degree programmes in Tallinn University.

The following education documents must be uploaded to the online application system:

  • Bachelor's degree diploma

  • Transcript of records

Please note: 

  • Tallinn University only accepts applicants with Second Class (Upper Division) result or higher

  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) does not grant an access to Master level studies

  • Any discrepancies between name and/or birthdate on your documents must be explained with official documentation that confirms change of name/birthdate or an affidavit.

Please do not send your documents by post until you have personally been asked to do so. Once you have been asked to send your documents by post, please make sure that the copies of education documents have been officially certified. The Transcript of Records must be sent to Tallinn University’s postal address upon request of the applicant by the institution that awarded the degree. 

Language requirements

All applicants are required to provide a proof of their English proficiency. Acceptable English language tests and exempt categories can be seen here.
