Introduction

Aleksandra Ljalikova is an Associate professor of Teacher Education (French). After graduating from Tallinn Pedagogical University in 2000, she earned a master's degree from the University of Rouen in 2002 and later obtained a doctorate (cum laude) from Jean Monnet University in France in 2007, specializing in linguistics and teacher education.
For many years, she has worked as the editor-in-chief of the French-language research journal "Synergies Pays riverains de la Baltique." She is the founder and president of the Estonian French Language Teachers' Association. She worked as lead expert at the Centre for Innovation in Education in TLU. In 2009, Aleksandra Ljalikova was awarded the Knight's degree in the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Republic, and in 2023, she received the Knight's degree in the Order of Academic Palms.
