Introduction

Tiina Tambaum, Ph.D., MBA, MA, is a lecturer at Tallinn University Haapsalu College and a researcher at the Estonian Institute of Population. She holds a leading post in a new master's program "Community work in ageing society". Tiina has developed tools for intergenerational cooperation, including the methodology of teaching digital skills by non-professionals and the methodology of the telephone befriending. Tiina is the co-author of the textbook "Gerontology" (2016), the "Handbook for volunteers providing companionship for older people" (2021) the "Third International Handbook of Lifelong Learning", "International Handbook of Participatory Approaches in Ageing Research" (2023). Tiina has been singled out for valuing and popularizing older people learning and social health, the Estonian Health Association awarded her the title of "Friend of the Year 2021".
