Aleksei Talisainen

Aleksei Talisainen is a visiting researcher at Tallinn University and a doctoral student at Tallinn University of Technology. His research focuses on the use of telepresence robots in higher education from the lecturer's perspective; his doctoral thesis is being prepared under the supervision of Janika Leoste and Sirje Virkus. He has authored or co-authored 28 research publications. At Tallinn University, he participates in several projects related to the use of artificial intelligence and technology in education. At Tallinn University of Technology, he teaches programming and cybersecurity. Prior to his academic career, Aleksei worked in research and development within the medical technology sector, where he was involved in the development of optical sensors and co-authored two patents. He also worked as a computer forensics analyst for the Police and Border Guard Board.
