On 13 May 2026, former ERC President Jean-Pierre Bourguignon will visit Tallinn University. All researchers in Estonia who are interested in ERC grants and wish to gain new insights on the topic are welcome to attend.

The event will be held in English in TLU Senate (M648) at 10:00-12:00. 

The program includes:

  1. Opening words by Katrin Niglas, Vice Rector for Research at Tallinn University
  2. Welcoming by Mart Saarma, President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences
  3. Presentation by Jean-Pierre Bourguignon on ERC grants
  4. Researchers' experiences in applying for ERC grants: Alpo Honkapohja (TLÜ), Mari-Liis Jakobson (TLÜ),  Triin Lauri (TLÜ), Virve Sarapik (EKA) ja Mari-Klara Stein (TalTech)
  5. Overview of Tallinn University support for ERC grant applications by Aleksandr Aidaro
  6. Discussion

The event will be moderated by Aija Sakova, Head of the Knowledge Transfer and Project Support Centre at Tallinn University.
