On September 9, the new season of SuperNova cinema will begin, the opening screening will be the 1975 premiere of "Colorful Dreams," by Virve Aruoja and Jaan Tooming. The film features music by Arvo Pärt, and cinematography by Rein Maran

Little Kati's playmates in the countryside with her grandmother are both village boys and all of nature - animals and flowers, wind and stones. Kati conjures up the sun and floats above the flower fields and the entire world. There are no boundaries here between reality and the magical world. Is the same game possible in a city home?

The film is 60 minutes long. Admission to the cinema is FREE for everyone. Movie has english subtitles.

"Colorful Dreams"  has been called one of the boldest experiments in the history of Estonian film and was in cinemas for only a week after its premiere. Cinematographer Rein Maran says that according to the script, it looks like a typical children's film of the time, but the story changed during filming. Jaan Tooming called the script poor and ended up using only two episodes from it: "the child with his mother in the sun" and "the child washing", which in his opinion are also some of the worst episodes in terms of film technology. Everything else in the film is improvisation.
