Introduction

Linda Helene Sillat is an Associate Professor of Learning Technologies.

My research focuses on teachers’ professional development and digital competence, with particular attention to how assessment practices can be designed to meaningfully support the development of teachers’ digital competence.

I conceptualize digital competence as a multidimensional construct that encompasses not only technical skills but also pedagogical reasoning and the critical, purposeful integration of technology into teaching.

I teach courses related to digital competence both in the Educational Technology curriculum and in teacher education programmes.

In addition to my research and teaching, I participate in national task forces, contributing to the development of digital competence models and assessment frameworks for both educators and learners.
