Introduction
Tõnu Viik is a professor of philosophy at Tallinn University, Estonia. He graduated from Moscow Lomonossov State University and received his Ph.D. from Emory University, Atlanta. His present research is devoted to cultural phenomenology focusing on socially conditioned meaning-formation processes.
