JAPANESE CINEMA: "The Zen Diary"

This year's Japanese Cinema Days end with Yuji Nakae's "The Zen Diary" (2022; 111 min.)

This drama tells the story of Tsutomu who lives alone in the mountains and spends his days writing essays and cooking. Visits from food-loving Machiko break the routine and warm his heart. A hear that still clings to his late wife.
