Tallinn University is happy to be a part of this pan-European trend in higher education in the form of FilmEU, and we are honored to host the summit uniting academic and cultural industry partners. According to Viig, both FilmEU and other alliances of European universities stand for higher education not only being able to keep up with rapid changes, but also being a valuable partner through knowledge transfer both in capturing future trends and implementing development activities, and this also in areas such as screen culture, the effect of artificial intelligence on it and the consumption habits of viewers.
FilmEU gathers film universities of eight countries, members are from Estonia, Lithuania, Croatia, Slovakia, Denmark, Ireland, Italy and Portugal. The WIRE project takes place within this framework and aims to promote research and innovation activities and increase the international competitiveness of FilmEU partner universities.
