Open Philosophy Seminar: Dr. Tina Roeck (University of Dundee)

In her talk, she will explore the relationship between process philosophy and Buddhism, highlighting important similarities in their views on the dynamic and interdependent nature of reality. The talk will also address shared skepticism about whether language and conceptual thought can adequately capture the nature of things.

Beyond these theoretical overlaps, Buddhism offers a rich practical and ethical dimension grounded in the understanding of impermanence and interdependence. Engaging with Buddhist philosophy can therefore enrich process thought by linking speculative metaphysics with embodied and transformative practices.
